Blake Lively is super human. Didn’t you know?

Well, if you had any doubts, doubt no more, because she somehow managed to give up both soy and gluten just months after giving birth.

If you haven’t seen her new film ‘The Shallows’ yet, Lively is basically toned-as-hell in the role. She’s got hench arms and an actual six pack.

And you don’t get a physique like that by sitting around eating Krispy Kremes - in order to look this way, she put in months of hard work, including keeping an incredibly strict diet which was gluten and soy free.

And all only eight months after giving birth to her first child, James.

She spoke about the diet recently in an interview on the Kylie and Jackie O Show.

She said: “It seems like, ‘oh that’s really easy to cut that out,’ but you realise there’s soy in everything. Even if it’s the healthy, whole foods, organic stuff, there’s always soy in it.

“Once you remove soy, you realise you’re eating no processed foods, so that’s basically what I did.”

It sounds like this means all foods that come under the ‘delicious’ category would be cut out, surely? But apparently the diet wasn’t quite as bad as it sounds.

“I was still able to have sugar and all of those things. It’s all in moderation.

“You have a balance of protein, carbs and vegetables. And it wasn’t the worst. I was eating rice and sushi, but just no soy and no gluten and watch how hard that is,“ she explained.

Sushi’s great - who doesn’t like sushi? But when you think about what you can’t eat, sushi every day would still get old very quickly.

According to ELLE, foods she would have cut out include (but aren’t limited to) any breaded foods, burgers (or any ground meat), taco fillings, pasta, sauces, veggie burgers, hot chocolate and dressings.

Dressings sounds like the cruelest one - if you’ve got to have a diet largely made up of salads, you at least want to add some flavour to them.
