A primary school teacher who once weighed 28 stone has worn a bikini for the first time after shedding the weight.
Mallory Buettner from Ontario, Canada, underwent a gastric bypass two years ago, losing 13 stone in the process.
She then had a tummy tuck and brachioplasty to remove 10lbs of loose skin from her stomach and arms.
And to celebrate, Buettner decided to buy her first very own bikini, and ended up buying five new two pieces.
But unfortunately, she lost more than just weight in the process - her fiancé at the time, according to Buettner, couldn’t handle her new lifestyle, and the wedding had to be called off.
Buettner is now sharing her story and encouraging others who need to lose weight to seek help.

She told Mail Online: “I had never worn a bikini in my life, and I had a dreaded putting on a bathing suit even in my own hot tub in the back yard.
“I live in a bikini now. I wear one every day, I am a bikini bum. After the surgery, I went out and bought five bikinis.
“For the first time I feel like the outside matches the inside.”
Beuttner has struggled with weight for her whole life. At 10 years old, she already weighed 14 stone, and this crept up to 20 stone by the time she was 18.
When her efforts to live healthily didn’t cut it, she turned to professional help, and was recommended surgery by her doctor.
“I was engaged at the time. The surgery was scheduled for two months before the wedding,” she said.
“He wasn’t supportive and liked things the way they were. I think he thought I wouldn’t love him after I lost weight.
“We called off the wedding days before the date and never spoke again. It was the hardest thing but I had to choose to be happy.
“We both moved on and I hope he is happy.”
