Ashley Williams proves she's the girl of the moment
Ashley Williams is fast becoming a name to remember. Ever since the NEWGEN starlet first landed on the fashion circuit back in 2013, we haven’t stopped obsessing over her cool girl aesthetic.
And neither has the fash pack, as pals Nick Grimshaw and Pixie Geldof cheered from the FROW at her SS18 preview. Oh, and Georgia May Jagger lead the model pack decked in pink tiger stripes…
On entering the show, guests presented their invites at the door. And by invites, we mean smudge sticks.

It was the first hint that the collection is designed to decode the woman of today, a ‘wellness warrior’ who wafts her sage stick about to ‘achieve a higher state of consciousness’.
The show notes stated that though the Ashley Williams girl’s ‘coconut bacon is exuberant and her avocado on toast is peaceful’, she’ll still have a cheeky tequila shot after spin class.
Perhaps an indication that we all struggle to keep up with our Instagram persona in the social media age. And maybe letting our hair down every once in a while isn’t such a bad thing…
This contradictory mood was certainly reflected through the Ashley Williams girl’s wardrobe. A gaggle of models stepped out against a childlike backdrop of lime net curtains, healing crystals and stuffed toys.
Canary marabou feathers sat atop printed day dresses and fiery tiger-striped trousers were juxtaposed against scorpion sandals.
Makeup was perfectly imperfect, as models rocked spiderweb-effect eyes. The telling sign of a good night out.

Ashley Williams fans will also be pleased that the designer brought back her famed nineties-inspired barrettes. This season, they sat wedged in models’ crimped hair spelling the words ‘Misery’ and ‘Ugly’ in jewels.
But the Ashley Williams girl stepped out with an enviable air of confidence. After all, she keeps crystals on her bedroom shelf to ward off any negative energy…
