Ashley Graham dresses baby bump in red latex dress by fetish brand
Ashley Graham, 31, appeared to take a leaf out of Kim Kardashian’s style bible and rocked a latex dress on the red carpet last night.
The plus-size model, who announced in August she is expecting her first child, wore the figure-hugging look to attend the Daily Front Row’s Fashion Media Awards yesterday in New York City.
Her dress is by Vex Clothing, a California-based fetish wear label which sources their latex from England, according to its website.
The brand has a strong celebrity following, with the likes of Kim Kardashian, Kylie Jenner and Beyonce having previously worn its skintight looks.
Graham, a staunch advocate for the body positivity movement, made a high-profile appearance at the event, where she presented a Breakthrough Model of the Year to Halima Aden, 21.
She paired her dress with strappy heeled sandals and accessorised with hoop-style earrings.
The wet-look dress trend is often not the most comfortable to wear, with Kardashian earlier this year opening up about the punishingly tight corset she wore underneath her skin tight Met Gala dress by Thierry Muegler. “I have never felt pain like that in my life,” she told WSJ Magazine.
The reality star also revealed the look was so tight it prevented her from sitting down.
But it seems Graham’s latex look gave her ample room for her (and her baby bump!) to move – as demonstrated by a video she shared of herself on Instagram, where she poses and squats on an elevator.
Graham announced her pregnancy in an Instagram video shared last month, on the ninth anniversary of her wedding to husband Justin Ervin.
Since then, she has shared numerous images of her pregnancy on her Instagram account, including a nude picture showcasing her stretch marks.
She has also shared a number of bikini pictures proudly showing off her growing stomach.
