Aldi sells gigantic prosecco bottle that fills 64 glasses
Whether you enjoy the odd tipple or are a regular face in the local pub, Christmas is the one time a year everyone is prone to overindulging in a bit of fizz.
In that vein, it’s important to make sure the house is sufficiently stocked in order to avoid awkward booze draughts.
Lending a helping hand is Aldi, who is selling a gigantic bottle of prosecco that fills a whopping 64 glasses.
The premium 3-litre Prosecco Jeroboam is being launched just in time for the festive season, available to buy exclusively online from November 14 for £79.99.
According to the product description, the drink “boasts light, delicate aromas of fresh citrus fruits and wisteria flower” and the flavour is “delicate, with a refreshing acidity and soft sherbet taste.”
The super-sized bottle was sold last year, and the reviews speak for themselves.
“Bought before Christmas, fantastic quality Prosecco and a pleasant surprise for Party guests! A Jereboam (double magnum) goes a long way to liven up your evening with friends! [sic]” one happy customer wrote.
“Real party piece, tasted fine, a bit tricky to pour and has to be consumed on the one occasion (we found no difficulty with a few friends!!) [sic]” another said.
Race you to the checkout?
But of course this isn’t the first time Aldi has impressed us with their Christmas offering this week, after announcing plans to launch foot-long pigs in blankets.
Measuring in at 12-inches long, Aldi’s Giant Pigs in Blankets (400g) are being dropped as part of the supermarket chain’s Christmas 2018 range.
The extra-long smoky bacon-wrapped sausages cost just £2.99 for a pack of two and will be available in stores from 6th December 2018.
Also included in the Christmas range will be Methuselah Prosecco, luxury caviar, and a chocolate carousel.
Well played, Aldi.
