Vols continue to move up in US LBM Coaches Poll after Week 9
Week 9 has concluded during the 2024 college football season. Tennessee (6-1, 3-1 SEC) had its second and final open date of the regular-season in Week 9.
The Vols will return to action on Saturday at Neyland Stadium. Tennessee will host Kentucky (3-5, 1-5 SEC) at 7:45 p.m. EDT. SEC Network will televise the matchup. The Vols lead the all time series, 84-26-9, dating to Oct. 21, 1893.
Tennessee defeated rivals Florida and Alabama in back-to-back weeks before being off in Week 9.
Week 10 will feature five contests with SEC teams playing each other, while Alabama, LSU, Missouri and Texas have an open date.

Following Week 9 games, the latest US LBM Coaches Poll was released and is listed below. The Vols are ranked No. 7 and are up one spot from last week.
Oregon remains ranked No. 1 for a second consecutive week after starting the season 8-0 (5-0 Big Ten). Georgia (6-1, 4-1 SEC) is the highest ranked SEC team at No. 2. The Vols will play at Georgia on Nov. 16. The contest is scheduled for a flex time slot of 3:30-4:30 p.m. EST or 6-8 p.m. EST at Sanford Stadium in Athens, Georgia.
