Who is Tyler Huntley? 'Snoop' may be Dolphins quarterback after Tua Tagovailoa concussion

When Tua Tagovailoa suffered a concussion during the Miami Dolphins' loss last week, coach Mike McDaniel said Skylar Thompson would be the next man up.

He also said the team would look at signing another QB, and they did just that Monday with the addition of Tyler Huntley. The South Florida native spent the preseason with the Cleveland Browns but was signed off the Baltimore Ravens' practice squad.

Both Thompson and Huntley have been career backups, but both started in playoff games after the 2022 season. Thompson filled in for a concussed Tagovailoa, while Huntley finished the final month as the Ravens' starter for an injured Lamar Jackson. "Snoop" Huntley even went to the Pro Bowl after that season, even though he finished with just 85 more passing yards and just one more touchdown than Thompson.

McDaniel said Tagovailoa is expected to miss at least the Dolphins' next game at the Seattle Seahawks, meaning Thompson or Huntley will be throwing to Tyreek Hill and handing off to De'Von Achane. Here's what to know about Huntley, including stats from his NFL and college football career:
