Nick Saban: Florida State football a top-five team at start of 2024 season
Nick Saban had some words to say about Florida State football. It was all positive.
The former Alabama coach appeared on the Pat McAfee Show live in Dublin, Ireland, to analyze Georgia Tech and FSU.
Before joining the show, Saban was spotted watching FSU's practice on Friday. When asked about both teams, he spoke highly of the Seminoles after he was spotted watching them practice earlier this morning.
Let's just say the seven-time national championship coach liked what he saw.

"Florida State, to me, has one of the best five, probably personnel-wise, teams in the country with the way they have been able to reload through the portal as well as having good recruiting and good young players coming up into the program if they developed," Saban said on the Pat McAfee Show. "So, I think they are one of the best teams in the country. Looking at them on the field, they are a physical, good-looking team."
FSU added 15 players from the transfer portal after losing 14 starters from last year. The Seminoles enter the season ranked 10th in the Preseason Top-25 AP poll.
Both ACC teams will kick off the season in the annual Aer Lingus College Football Classic in Dublin on Saturday at noon ET at Aviva Stadium. The game will be on ESPN.
ESPN's College Gameday will also provide live coverage before kickoff.
