Marquette's Tyler Kolek heading to Knicks after being picked at No. 34 in the second round

Tyler Kolek finally has his NBA landing spot.

The Marquette guard was selected by the New York Knicks — via a trade with the Portland Trail Blazers — at No. 34 in the second round of the NBA draft on Thursday, a day after surprisingly falling out of the first round.

Portland made the pick, but will send Kolek's rights to the Knicks, according to multiple media reports, including ESPN.

The 6-foot-3 guard was a two-time All-American at MU, and the Big East player of the year as a junior in the 2022-23 season.

As a senior, he averaged 15.3 points and a nation-best 7.7 assists per game.
