Mark Nabou Jr. injury update: Texas A&M center to miss season with torn ACL

Texas A&M football's starting center Mark Nabou Jr. will miss the rest of the 2024 season after tearing his ACL in the Aggies' loss to Notre Dame.

Nabou exited briefly in the first quarter last Saturday with an injury before returning a few drives later.

"I'll give you one injury report, Mark Nabou Jr. is unfortunately going to be out for the rest of the year," Elko said Monday in his weekly media availability. "It's an impact because Mark is a really good football player, but it is football, and injuries are going to happen. The next guy has to step up and go play."

Utah transfer Koli Faaui will be replacing Nabou at center. Faaui started 13 games for the Utes in 2023 and replaced Nabou vs. the Fighting Irish.

Nabou is in his third year with the Aggies, having started 12 game last year at left guard. He played one game at center in 2023 and was making the switch to a new position this season. Out of high school, Nabou was rated as a three-star prospect by 247Sports composite.
