Lafayette-Area High school football: Live score updates and more from Week 9
Only two more weeks remain in the 2024 high school football regular season for teams in Lafayette Parish and its surrounding area.
Some teams are looking to salvage the rest of the season while others are striving for perfection and bettering their shot at landing a spot in the LHSAA State playoffs. Last week, 18 teams hailing from the 337 came away with a win. For two of those teams, winning is all they’ve done this season as they remain the last two standing undefeated teams in the Lafayette area.
Teurlings Catholic and Vermilion Catholic have yet to drop a game holding a perfect 8-0 record heading into Week 9. On the flip side, Comeaux and Abbeville are still winless this season and are desperately looking to crack the goose egg in the win column. Breaux Bridge did that last week taking down Beau Chene in a dominating fashion beating the Gators 56-13 to win their first game of the season.
With the season rapidly winding down there are another handful of primetime matchups that will be in store for football fans in the area. From district championship matchups to powerhouse showdowns, this week is filled with games that dictate how the postseason goes.
The Daily Advertiser has got you covered with all the matchups happening across the area as well as live score updates from Week 9 of high school football.
