FSU football's Darius Washington ruled out vs. Miami; Jacob Rizy makes starting debut
Florida State football has struggled to find a stable starting five on the offensive line. At Miami on Saturday night, FSU will make its seventh lineup change on the front five in eight games.
Robert Scott Jr., Jacob Rizy, Maurice Smith, Jaylen Early, and Jeremiah Byers are the starting O-line for the Seminoles.
During warmups, Darius Washington, a game-time decision, wasn't with the starters even though he suited up. This will be Washington's second game missed this season. Scott has started three games for the Seminoles.
Rizy will be starting his first career as a left guard. Scott, who has played left and right tackle, will be starting in place of Washington.
Rizy has been a backup guard and center all year. After playing three seasons at Harvard, Rizy entered the transfer portal and joined the Seminoles this year.
