FSU football running back Kam Davis out vs. Miami, offensive lineman questionable

Florida State football will be without freshman running back Kam Davis and against Miami.

Redshirt senior offensive lineman Darius Washington will be a game-time decision.

Both Davis and Washington were injured in the 23-16 loss to Duke last Friday. Seminoles (1-6) head coach Mike Norvell said this week that both players would be monitored as FSU prepared for its game vs the undefeated Hurricanes (7-0).

Davis was the leading rusher for the Seminoles vs. the Blue Devils, recording 63 yards on 14 carries. He's featured in every game this season for FSU with Duke being his best game.

He joins Roydell Williams and Jaylin Lucas as running backs on the injury report.

Washington started last week vs. the Blue Devils and has been part of an offensive line that has been shuffled nearly every week. The game vs. Duke was FSU's sixth different offensive line in seven games.

Expect players like Caziah Holmes, Micahi Danzy and Samuel Singleton Jr. to possibly get more snaps at running back with Davis out.

On the offensive line, Lucas Simmons is listed as the backup to Washington, however, Robert Scott Jr. replaced him in the game vs. Duke. Those are two names to watch if Washington is unavailable to play Saturday night.

Linebacker Blake Nichelson was unavailable vs. Duke last week, but Norvell said this week he expects him to be available vs. Miami.

FSU's vs. Miami kicks off at 7 p.m. from Hard Rock Stadium in Miami.
