FSU football QB DJ Uiagalelei reportedly suffered broken finger on throwing hand vs. SMU
(This story was updated to add new information).
Florida State football quarterback DJ Uiagalelei may have suffered a "long-term injury" to a finger on his throwing hand in the Seminoles' loss at SMU last Saturday, according to reports.
FSU redshirt freshman Brock Glenn is expected to start in Saturday's ACC game against No. 15 Clemson at Doak Campbell Stadium.
An FSU athletics department spokesperson told The Tallahassee Democrat late Monday that "we expect DJ to be unavailable this week."
247Sports first reported Monday that Uiagalelei would be sidelined long-term due to his injured finger. ESPN's Pete Thamel reported that Uiagalelei's injury is a broken finger.
FSU coach Mike Norvell said following the game that Uiagalelei suffered an injury on his final throw before being replaced by Glenn in the fourth quarter.

Thamel said the veteran quarterback is "undergoing testing to figure out options for a broken finger on his throwing hand."
On Monday, FSU released its depth chart for Clemson. It labeled Uiagalelei and Glenn as co-starters, with Norvell not confirming if the change was related to Uiagalelei's health or performance.
"DJ, that's something we are going to evaluate over the course of the week," Norvell said Monday. "We will see how it goes from there."
Against SMU, Uiagalelei went 12-for-30, throwing for 222 yards, two touchdowns and three interceptions, including the pick-six that resulted in his injury. In his two drives of the season leading the Seminoles, Glenn went 0-for-4.
According to Thamel's report, Glenn is expected to start on Saturday vs. Clemson. It would be the redshirt freshman's first start since the 63-3 loss to Georgia in last season's Orange Bowl.
In that game, he went 9-for-26, for 139 yards and two interceptions. In the five games last season, Glenn went 19-of-51 for 229 yards and two interceptions. He scored one rushing touchdown.
Uiagalelei has recorded 1,065 yards, going 84-of-156 for four touchdowns and six interceptions in five games as FSU's starter.
