The Florida State football team hopes some home cooking provides their first win of the 2024 college football season tonight against Boston College.
No. 10 FSU is 0-1 after opening with a lackluster 24-21 loss to Georgia Tech in Dublin, Ireland. Lawrance Toafili and Roydell Williams both ran for touchdowns, but the Seminoles ran for just 98 yards and new quarterback DJ Uiagalelei passed for only 193. Meanwhile, Yellow Jackets quarterback Haynes King and running back Jamal Haynes combined for 139 rushing yards.
That might be bad news with the Eagles coming to Doak Campbell Stadium. BC almost knocked off FSU last season, with dual-threat QB Thomas Castellanos throwing for 305 yards and a touchdown while running for another 95 and a score. Bill O'Brien will coach his first game at Boston College, his first college head coaching job since he left Penn State for the Houston Texans in 2014.
