FSU athletics, boosters deliver message to football fans during disastrous season

Florida State athletics and Seminole Boosters, Inc. released a joint message Thursday to the season-ticket holders and fans, thanking them for their support during the football program's historic struggles.

FSU remains positive and optimistic about the football program's future in 2025.

"Your steadfast devotion to Seminoles Athletics has sustained us through good times and bad," the release said.

"While the 2024 football season has been difficult for all of us, we remain passionately committed to facing our current challenge head-on and setting our sights on a brighter future starting in 2025.

The message displayed appreciation to loyal fans acknowledging their resilience despite the losing results.

Doak Campbell Stadium, which is currently undergoing renovation with reduced capacity at around 50,000, has been sold out for every home game this season. The Seminoles have two home games remaining against Charleston Southern Nov. 23 and state rival Florida Nov. 30.

At 1-8, FSU is suffering through its worst season since it went 1-10 in 1974. The Seminoles are also 1-7 in the ACC, their worst mark since joining the league in 1992, and have dropped their last five games.

FSU is at No. 8 Notre Dame (7-1) on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. at Notre Dame Stadium. The game will be televised on NBC. The Seminoles are listed as 25-point underdogs.

FSU opens the 2025 season at home against Alabama.
