What channel is the Bills game on? How to watch Buffalo Bills vs. Carolina Panthers

ORCHARD PARK - There is only one goal on the Buffalo Bills agenda Saturday afternoon when they close the preseason against the Carolina Panthers at Highmark Stadium: Stay healthy.

Now yes, that’s the goal for all 32 teams in this final weekend of summer football, but for the Bills it’s particularly important they succeed because their injury list is troublesome and they can’t afford to take too many hits.

That’s why Sean McDermott - who after reading off all the names of the wounded the other day - announced his decision to sit all of the starters and simply use the game to evaluate players who are in contention for bottom of the roster consideration as well as the practice squad.

“Initially the plan was to play the ones this week, but because of the injuries and the lack of availability, we’re going to take the ones out, play the other guys and, take a good look at them,” McDermott said. “It should be a good opportunity for them to put their best foot forward and for us to have a strong evaluation of that part of the roster.”

Ben DiNucci (15) will start at quarterback for the Bills Saturday against the Panthers.
Ben DiNucci (15) will start at quarterback for the Bills Saturday against the Panthers.

Of course, evaluating the offense is going to be difficult given that the quarterbacks are going to be Ben DiNucci who was signed last week, and Anthony Brown who was signed Monday in the wake of the injuries to Mitchell Trubisky and Shane Buechele.

The Bills will likely run the ball as much as possible, if for no other reason than to keep the clock moving and shorten the game, and for players like wide receivers Tyrell Shavers, Justin Shorter, Andy Isabella and KJ Hamler, and tight ends Zach Davidson, Tre McKitty, it’s unfortunate as they try to make final impressions.
