Bills penalty for unnecessary roughness on Kyler Murray was horrible call
Buffalo Bills cornerback Ja'Marcus Ingram didn't touch Kyler Murray on the first possession of the season. He was still flagged for unnecessary roughness.
It was an early frontrunner for worst call of the year.
The Arizona Cardinals quarterback faced third-and-13 from the Bills' 25-yard line. Murray was flushed out of the pocket, scrambled for 6 yards and awkwardly slid, turning himself face first into the turf. Murray bounced himself off the ground.
Ingram tried adjusting in the air and landed on his hands and knees up and over Murray. He was called for unnecessary roughness, giving Arizona first-and-goal at the Bills' 9.
The Cardinals cashed in with a touchdown from Murray to Michael Wilson.
