Auburn football returns to top-ranked 2026 recruiting class after Monday three-star addition
AUBURN — Auburn football is back to having the nation's No. 1 recruiting class in 2026.
The Tigers landed a commitment Monday from three-star safety Wayne Henry, who is rated by the 247Sports Composite as the No. 460 overall player and the No. 39 prospect at his position in his class. Henry is teammates with a couple of 2025 pledges − four-star cornerback Blake Woodby and three-star defensive athlete Bryce Deas − at St. Frances Academy in Maryland.
Henry's commitment once again gives Auburn the nation's No. 1 class in 2026. The haul briefly fell to No. 2 behind Penn State, but again sits atop the 247Sports team rankings.
Listed at 5-foot-9, 170 pounds, Henry is the sixth recruit in 2026 to commit to Auburn. He joins four-star edge defender Hezekiah Harris, four-star linebackers Shadarius Toodle and JaMichael Garrett, four-star receiver Denairius Gray and four-star offensive lineman Kail Ellis.
