Watpool managing to break the distance in the third, she is making Green uncomfortable with how close she is. Watpool's work is being smothered but Green isn't' really throwing much while their on the inside.

ARLINGTON, Texas — Lucas Bahdi didn’t punish Armando Casamonica in the manner he promised Friday after Casamonica came in 3.5 pounds overweight Thursday.

Bahdi actually appeared lucky to have escaped with a 10-round, majority decision victory over the previously unbeaten Italian on the Mike Tyson vs. Jake Paul undercard at AT&T Stadium. Judge Mike Ross scored their fight a draw, 95-95, but judges David Iacobucci (96-93) and Nate Palmer (98-92) scored Bahdi the winner of a fight that lacked action.

Casamonica (14-1, 3 KOs) has a much lower knockout ratio than Bahdi (18-0, 15 KOs), but the shiftier fighter consistently controlled the pace, pressed the action at times, and never appeared affected by his supposedly dangerous opponent’s punches. Bahdi, who was widely listed as at least an 8-1 favorite, had difficulty tracking down his slippery opponent and couldn’t connect with the type of devastating shot that changed his career almost four months earlier.

In July, a then-unknown Bahdi burst upon the U.S. boxing scene when he knocked out lightweight prospect Ashton Sylve in the sixth round on the Jake Paul vs. Mike Perry undercard at Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida.

Sylve (11-1, 9 KOs), of Long Beach, California, was a highly touted 135-pound prospect that Paul’s company, MVP Promotions, represents. The 20-year-old Sylve was initially scheduled to face another young, highly regarded American lightweight, Floyd Schofield, on the Paul-Tyson undercard.

Once Bahdi beat him, MVP Promotions added Bahdi to its roster.

Green is physically much larger than Watpool. She is ramming a power jab into Watpool and connected with a wide right hand in the first half. Watpool attempts to land a combination while Green is against the ropes, but nothing connects.

USA's Shadasia Green (14-1, 11 KOs) and Canada's Melinda Watpool (7-0, 2 KOs) collide for the vacant WBO super middleweight championship in the first of three world title fights tonight.

Green's only career defeat was a decision loss to Franchon Crews-Dezurn this past December in Orlando.

Lucas Bahdi edges a majority decision (95-95, 96-93, 98-92) over Armando Casamonica in their lightweight battle of unbeatens.

A very close fight, the 98-92 card in favour of Bahdi will be controversial.

They are going to exchange until the final bell, both men know this fight is razor close. Bahdi has seriously increased his output for the final round and probably edged it to nick a draw on my card.

It was a fight of two halves — Bahdi got the better of the first while Casamonica dominated the second half.

10-9 Bahdi. Final score: 95-95 draw.

A right hand lands for Bahdi but is immediately answered by five to six punches from Casamonica. None of Casimonca's shots landed but it may have left an impression on the judges. Casamonica switches to southpaw and counters with an overhand left. Right hand from Bahdi gets through, Casamonica ends the round with his own right cross.

10-9 Casamonica, 86-85 Casa.

Casamonica is outworking Bahdi, he's throwing three- and four-punch combinations compared to Bahdi's one- or two-punch attacks. A pair of power right hands land for Casamonica. Another strong round for him. Everything up for grabs heading into the championship rounds.

10-9 Casamonica, 76-76.

Best round of the contest for Casamonica. Four successive straight right hands land. Strong left hook in the second minute from Casamonica, followed up seconds later by a right hand. Bahdi tries a left hook to the body.

10-9 Casamonica, 67-66 Bahdi.

Right uppercut from Casamonica on the inside lifts Bahdi's chin up. Casamonica opened up in the final few seconds, Bahdi is not responding like he was in the early rounds. Casamonica's corner tells him Bahdi is "very tired." The Italian has definitely warmed into this one.

10-9 Casamonica, 58-56 Bahdi.

It's a very quiet Round 5. A right hand from Bahdi which pushed Casamonica's head back was the only punch of note in that stanza. Casamonica needs to let his hands go.

10-9 Bahdi, 49-46 Bahdi.

Three-punch combination from Casamonica lands in the opening minute, his best spell of success in this fight. Bahdi lands a beautiful double left hook, to the head and body. Casamonica with another combination, the first two punches miss but the left hook landed. Bahdi answers with his own two-punch power combination. Great action in the fourth.

10-9 Casamonica, 39-37 Bahdi.

The pair trade right hands in the center of the ring, neither landed clean but there is more urgency from Casamonica in this round. Bahdi connects with the right cross in the final minute of the round and a left hook clips Casamonica's chin in the last 10 seconds. Better round for Casamonica, but Bahdi still won it.

10-9 Bahdi, 30-27 Bahdi.

Right uppercut, left hook to the body combination lands for Bahdi, and is followed up by a straight right hand several seconds later. Casamonica finally unloads with a combination in the final few seconds.

Casamonica is fighting behind a high guard, not throwing many punches at this point in the fight though. Bahdi is waiting for the opportunity to set up a power shot.

10-9 Bahdi, 20-18 Bahdi.

ARLINGTON, Texas – Bruce “Shu Shu” Carrington didn’t deliver the knockout he hoped he’d produce on Mike Tyson’s undercard Friday afternoon. But the unbeaten, Brooklyn-bred featherweight contender did atone for his subpar performance seven weeks earlier.

Carrington, 27, dropped Australia’s Dana Coolwell twice, completely controlled the action and convincingly won an eight-round unanimous decision at AT&T Stadium.

All three judges scored it a shutout for Carrington, 80-70 apiece, on their cards in the first fight on the Tyson-Jake Paul undercard.

Carrington (14-0, 8 KOs), who grew up in the same Brownsville neighborhood as Tyson, caught Tyson’s attention by imitating his infamous post-fight speech following his 38-second demolition of Lou Savarese 24 years ago. Tyson pushed Paul to make sure Carrington was provided a spot on this high-profile undercard.

The supremely confident Carrington and his handlers, including promoter Bob Arum, weren’t especially happy with his prior performance, a 10-round majority decision defeat of southpaw Sulaiman Segawa on Sept. 27 at Madison Square Garden’s Theater in New York. He defeated Segawa by the same score, 97-93, on two scorecards, but one judge scored that bout a draw, 95-95.

Carrington got right back into camp for his fight with Coolwell (13-3, 8 KOs).

He felt out Coolwell during the first two rounds, but began to take control in the third round. A right hand by Carrington sent Coolwell to the seat of his trunks a few seconds before the midway mark of the fourth round, but Coolwell was able to recover and made it to the fifth round.

An accumulation of Carrington’s punches also caused Coolwell to take a knee with 1:02 remaining in the eighth round. Coolwell collected himself, got up and made it to the final bell.

Coolwell has not been knocked out in 16 professional fights. Before Carrington shut him out, he had lost only a pair of split decisions to unbeaten opponents — Jake Wyllie (then 4-0) and Ender Luces (then 16-0).

Casamonica is walking Bahdi down in the opener. Bahdi flicking out a consistent jab. A strong overhand right from Bahdi pushes Casamonica's head back late in Round 1, the best connect so far.

10-9 Bahdi.

Bahdi produced a sensational knockout win over Ashton "H20" Sylve in a major upset in July.

Bruce "Shu Shu" Carrington wins every round on all 3 cards (80-70, 80-70, 80-70) against the tough Dana Coolwell in the Mike Tyson vs. Jake Paul opener.

COOLWELL DOWN AGAIN! He is down for the second time in this fight. A vicious left hook rocked Coolwell. Carrington followed it up with a flurry while Coolwell was on the ropes and forced the Australian to take a knee.

Coolwell hit with a heavy four-punch combination to the head. Carrington doubles up on the right hand with a straight right/right uppercut combination. An impressive performance from Carrington, but he will want a knockout on such a big stage.

10-9 Carrington, 70-62 Carrington.

Quiet first half, the pace has noticeably slowed. Carrington lands with a counter right hand and is targeting the left hook to the body. He's doubling up on it as well.

10-9 Carrington, 60-53 Carrington.

Coolwell is taking a lot of punches but Carrington has struggled to hurt him again since the knockdown. A very tough fighter, this one might be going the distance.

10-9 Carrington, 50-44 Carrington.

HUGE LEFT HOOK from "Shu Shu" Carrington! And down goes Coolwell! A big breakthrough for the American prospect in Round 4. Coolwell gets to his feet and fires back with his own right hand, letting Carrington and the referee know that he's not finished yet.

10-8 Carrington, 40-35 Carrington.

Carrington is starting to let his hands go on Coolwell now. Coolwell is taking a lot of punishment but isn't overly hurt. Carrington is told by his corner that he needs to focus more of his attack on the body, as that may be the area that wilts first, which is often the case with tough fighters.

10-9 Carrington, 30-27 Carrington.

Coolwell attempting to establish his jab early in round two, already more aggressive than the first round, which was one-sided for Carrington. Coolwell attempting to set a high pace, but not many landing. Carrington connects with a right hand at the halfway point of the second. Great combination from Carrington in the final 30 seconds.

10-9 Carrington, 20-18 Carrington.

Dominant opener for Carrington, who is looking to apply early pressure on Coolwell. Coolwell is on the back foot and is looking to survive the early onslaught from Carrington.
