2025 DL Makhi Williams-Lee commits to Clemson football, Dabo Swinney, flips from NC State
CLEMSON — Clemson football added its third defensive lineman in the 2025 class with the commitment of three-star recruit Makhi Williams-Lee on Wednesday.
The 6-foot-2, 280-pounder from Lakeside High School in Atlanta is rated as the No. 82 defensive lineman nationally by the 247Sports Composite. He decommitted from NC State in September and attended Clemson's game vs. Stanford last Saturday.
Williams-Lee announced his Clemson commitment via X. His commitment comes after four-star defensive lineman Isaiah Campbell decommitted from the Tigers last month and four-star edge rusher Bryce Davis flipped his commitment from Clemson to Duke in August.
Williams-Lee is the 14th player to commit to coach Dabo Swinney's 2025 class, which is ranked No. 19 nationally. He is the Tigers' first commitment since four-star linebacker Logan Anderson in July. The Tiger class has nine four-star recruits and five three-stars.
Williams-Lee is the fourth recruit from Georgia in the 2025 class to commit to the Tigers. He joins two other defensive players who committed to the Tigers: four-stars Amare Adams and and Ari Watford.
