4-star defensive lineman Isaiah Campbell decommits from Clemson football, Dabo Swinney
CLEMSON — Clemson football commit Isaiah Campbell announced he decommitted from the Tigers on Saturday.
The four-star defensive lineman from Southern High School in Durham, North Carolina, had committed to the Tigers in January. He is rated as the No. 40 player nationally and the No. 2 prospect in the state by the 247Sports Composite.
Campbell released the following statement on X, formerly know as Twitter: "After much prayer and counsel, I am announcing my #decommitment from Clemson University."
With Campbell decommitting, Clemson's 2025 class dropped from No. 16 to No. 19 in the national recruiting rankings, according to 247Sports. The defensive lineman joins four-star edge rusher Bryce Davis as two players who decommitted from Clemson in next year's cycle. Davis flipped his commitment from Clemson to ACC rival Duke last month.
Clemson's 2025 class still boasts strong defensive line talent with two four-star defensive linemen in Amare Adams and Ari Watford, but likely needs to find another recruit to strengthen next year's cycle.
Clemson coach Dabo Swinney's 2025 class has 13 recruits, including nine four-star recruits and four three-stars.
