Ippo Hafiz defends Nur Fazura for offkey performance in Indonesia

8 Nov - Ippo Hafiz has recently defended actress Nur Fazura for her offkey performance of her new single, "Bertahan Demi Cinta" that he penned for her and ex-husband Fattah Amin as part of the OST of "Hero Seorang Cinderella 2".

The singer, who was asked about the recent viral video of Fazura's highly criticised performance on the Indonesian show, "SEA Today", said that there can be lots of reasons why Fazura was unable to give a good performance on the show that day.

"What I see is that Fazura has a hectic schedule. So when she was asked to sing the song live, she could have probably been surprised," he said.

Ippo also said that it was challenging for Fazura as the song was supposed to be a duet.

"A singer needs to hear what she sings, but if there is a problem with the ear monitor, we can't hear our own voice. So, there might have been a technical problem, but I wasn't there so I can't say much," he said.

Fazura's performance during the programme has been criticised by many, with some saying that the actress should stick to her acting career and her business. It is noted that the performance was her first public appearance since her divorce from Fattah Amin on 7 October.
