Sun Li and Deng Chao donated to charity for college students

8 Nov - Celebrity couple Sun Li and Deng Chao recently received praise after it was revealed that they have donated a large sum of money for a charity organisation.

On 6 November, the Shanghai ChunHuaQiuShi Foundation took to Weibo to thank both stars for donating another RMB 713,500 to their Western Student Aid Programme for the year 2024.

The donation will be used to support 100 college students to study and realise their life dreams.

"We sincerely thank Mr. Deng Chao and Ms. Sun Li for their selfless dedication and silent protection of social welfare over the years, and thank them for their unwavering support for the Western Student Aid Program over the years! Carry forward the spirit of public welfare!" the foundation stated.

It is reported that this year marks the 12th year that Deng Chao and Sun Li have supported the Western Student Aid Program, and their cumulative donations have exceeded 9 million.

The parents of two have donated more than RMB 9 million to the foundation
