Lee Chia-ying finally welcomes her first child

8 Nov - Lee Chia-ying (aka Juno Lee) has recently announced the birth of her first baby.

The Taiwanese actress shared the good news on social media on 6 November with a photo of her and her child following the delivery, writing, "I will try to be your good mum. And I hope you grow up healthy and happy."

Thanking the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology and the Department of Anesthesiology at National Taiwan University Hospital, she added, "This day... I have finally waited for it! Both mother and child are safe, and it was love at first sight. I have you, my first love."

Welcome to the world, little one!

Many took to the comments to congratulate the actress, including singer Cyndi Wang, who posted, "Congratulations. Happiness and peace. Be healthy and happy!"

It had not been an easy pregnancy journey for Lee. Last year, she underwent 9 egg retrievals to undergo IVF. It was not until the second implantation in February this year that she successfully implanted the egg. Unexpectedly, she had two heavy bleedings in the early stages of her pregnancy and had to stay in bed in the hospital for more than two months.

The 41-year-old Lee tied the knot with her non-showbiz boyfriend last year and officially announced her pregnancy in June.
