Busy Raptors trade Terence Davis to Kings for future draft pick in deadline deal
The Toronto Raptors are trading Terence Davis to the Sacramento Kings in exchange for a future second-round pick, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.
News of the trade broke just minutes before Thursday's NBA trade deadline closed, and less than an hour after a similar deal saw the Utah Jazz acquire Raptors sharpshooter Matt Thomas for a future second-round pick.
Toronto's busy deadline was highlighted by its deal with Portland, a trade that saw the Raptors send Norman Powell to the Trail Blazers in exchange for Gary Trent Jr. and Rodney Hood.
The widely expected Kyle Lowry trade, which appeared close to happening all day Thursday, never came to fruition.

Davis's time in Toronto took a negative turn after a surprising rookie season saw him land a two-year deal last summer.
The 23-year-old was charged with seven counts, including two charges of assault in the third degree and one count of child endangerment, stemming from an incident in a New York hotel room on Oct. 27. Police reports said Davis sent a woman to the hospital with bruising in her eye and smashed her cell phone during a domestic dispute with their child present.
Davis’s lawyer submitted a plea of not guilty before the charges were dismissed by the New York District Attorney General's office last month.
The Raptors did their own investigation, with president Masai Ujiri saying the front office consulted members of staff on their level of comfort in continuing to work with Davis, who made 34 appearances with Toronto this season. Prior to making an appearance in Thursday's blowout win over the Denver Nuggets, Davis did not play in the Raptors' previous four games.
