YouTube star goes viral with seriously impressive prom dress made entirely from bin bags
Prom is one of the most anticipated milestones in every teenager’s life but it can also prove to be one of the most stressful.
With the pressure to look your best in front of your high school peers, it can be hard not to splash your savings on an Insta-worthy look that you’ll never wear again.
But for those of you on the lookout for your dream dress, we’re pleased to say that the search is well and truly over.
YouTube sensation, Amber Scholl, took to her page to demonstrate how to make a prom dress from nothing but bin bags. Yes, you read that correctly.
After a fan joked in her comments that the 24-year-old could ‘could wear a trash bag and still look bomb’, the YouTube star decided to give it a go.
In a video which has since amassed over 900,000 views, Scholl demonstrated how to make a cold-shoulder gown (complete with a bodice and handcrafted rosettes) from Target bin bags.
Using only sellotape, duct tape, glue and a sheer skirt to finish, the YouTuber blew her fans away with the final result.
One follower took to her page to comment: “I swear to God that if the apocalypse hits, Amber is gonna be the best dressed. DIY Queen.”

But it’s not the first time the YouTube star has demonstrated how to rock a DIY look, as she has an entire channel dedicated to the art of recyclable fashion.
Desperate to imitate Kim Kardashian‘s now-famous wardrobe? Look no further than Scholl’s DIY video. Fancy bagging a pair of designer shoes but don’t want to break the bank? She’s got your back.
