Work out like a royal! Queen's great-nephew joins HIIT workout on Instagram
The Queen’s great-nephew has revealed how to work out like a royal after he joined an Instagram live HIIT session to kick off the new year.
Arthur Chatto is the grandson of the late Princess Margaret, who was the Queen’s younger sister, and doesn’t have any working royal duties.
The 21-year-old is 26th in line to the throne and works as a personal trainer in Edinburgh.
But with gyms across the country closed because of the coronavirus pandemic, he hopped on to an Instagram live session to show how to keep fit at home.
He joined Kuda Tapatapa at the beginning of the month for the 50-minute workout, taking on the HIIT sections, which are high-intensity.

Chatto’s bio on the gym’s website reads: “I’m a level 3 personal trainer, I specialise in strength and endurance training with a military focus. I was lucky enough to row around the UK this summer! This gave me a lot of experience in training myself and the team to complete the challenging expedition.
“I’ve found physical training to be an essential cornerstone in improving my own mental health and I want to share this with others.”
Chatto has built up a following of 168,000 on Instagram, where he shares mostly fitness photos.
He was joined by teammates Charles Bromhead, Harry Lidgley, and Oliver Dawe-Lane over the summer to row 2,000 miles around the UK, raising money for the British Red Cross and Just One Ocean.
They were the youngest team ever to complete the feat.

Chatto’s parents are Lady Sarah Chatto and Daniel Chatto.
He has previously been a regular guest at events like the Queen’s Christmas lunch, held in the week before Christmas Day, and went to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding.
Chatto was a page of honour for his great-aunt from 2009 to 2015, a ceremonial role that involves helping the Queen on state occasions.
He is not a working royal, but has previously revealed that he is careful about what he shares online these days.
He told The Telegraph in January 2020: “I am learning as I get older that there are more rules than I thought.
“When I first started, obviously Instagram was a less big thing, so I had a bit less sort of, um… I mean, I don’t think I really have that many guidelines to be honest, but obviously I like to check in with the family and make sure everything’s alright.”

He also admitted to watching Netflix’s The Crown, where his great-aunt is the main character.
Chatto’s next live workout will be held on Instagram on 16 January. He and Tapatapa will be taking over the Kendal Mint Cake account with the workout from 11am.
Chatto said he was “Very excited about this!” as the north of England company announced the workout.
