The moment we saw avid heel wearer Victoria Beckham ditch her sky-scraper Louboutin’s for a pair of Stan Smiths we knew the days of stiletto’s were over.
However, it seems trainers have taken a bigger step into our wardrobe’s than we thought…
Although we have seen our shoe closet slowly fill up with Nike Rosche, Adidas Superstar’s and New Balance. We are still quite taken aback by new research that proves for the first time ever women have been buying more trainers than heels.

Figures by consumer analyst Mintel show in the past year 37% of women purchased trainers, compared to just the 33% who bought heels.
This is the first year that heels have taken such as a tumble as in 2015 heels and trainers tied at 35%.

We don’t even have to forfeit the added height as platform and heeled trainers do the trick just as well, plus minus the foot agony at the end of the day.
