Woman's plea for help finding lost engagement ring is going viral
A travel buff named Ruth Bamber has sent a public plea to the internet, begging for help finding her engagement ring, and it’s going viral fast.
She shared a photo of herself, her finacee Justin Sutcliffe, and her lost ring on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. She writes that she left her ring “on the shelf above the sink in the upstairs ladies toilets at Remarkables Ski Area” on Thursday.
The engaged couple appears to have been enjoying a joyous ski holiday in the Queenstown, New Zealand area where Remarkables Skifield is based, when Bamber accidentally left her ring in the bathroom after washing her hands (because almost all of us have done this, right?).
Perhaps in hopes of inspiring the return of the ring, the distraught bride-to-be wrote, “It’s really not worth a lot of money, the value of my ring is purely sentimental.”
Her post on Twitter has been shared almost 400 times as of this story, and the replies are all wishing her well.
Overwhelmed by the retweets so far! Thanks all 👏- still some way to go.
If anyone knows of anyone/ business specifically in the Queenstown lakes area who can help get the message around I’d really appreciate you tagging them for me. 🙌
I’m forever hopeful 🤞💍— Roo Bamber (@bamber_roo) September 3, 2018
She also again emphasized the sentimental value of the ring in a follow-up post.
That’s awful. Fingers crossed I’m lucky – it’s not worth much money at all as it’s not a diamond and the band is a very simple rose gold.
It even had some tape wrapped round it to make it fit my finger so it may have appeared like cheap costume jewelry?— Roo Bamber (@bamber_roo) September 3, 2018
People from all over the world are sending positive messages and wishing her luck finding her ring.
Sending get the ring back to you vibes from the US.

One person even made a tribute to the ring with Bamber and her fiance’s faces on top.
Hope it’s found. Just in case no, here is a tribute pic of the one ring, in the pic… pic.twitter.com/zexw1WAF0G
