Woman applies make-up using leftover food, as you do
Just when we thought we’d seen all of the bizarre beauty trends 2017 has to offer, make-up artist Raychel Newton set herself the challenge of curating her aesthetic using only leftover food. Because, why not?
And we have to admit, she looked more Insta-ready than when we’ve spent hours in front of the mirror trying to tackle the mysterious art of contouring.
In the post-Thanksgiving experiment, the make-up artist set herself the challenge of creating a bronzed glow with a, wait for it, #FaceFullofFood.
First, she delved into a packet of cocoa powder to fill in her brows (why haven’t we ever thought of this?) Then, she relied on butter and honey for a highlight Kim Kardashian would be proud of.
For an Insta-worthy contour, the beauty junkie streaked a Snickers bar across her cheekbones while a raw beetroot made the perfect makeshift lip stain.
After completing the challenge, Newton took to Instagram to dare other make-up artists to give the experiment a go.
But before you head into the fridge instead of your nearest MAC, make sure to test the products on your face first to prevent any allergic reactions. It’s the last thing you need before Christmas…
