The Wheel’s Michael McIntyre’s incredible net worth plus £10 million home

He’s the face of the popular game show The Wheel, which sees contestants guided by celebrity experts to answer their way to a fortune. And if there’s one thing Michael McIntyre knows all about, it’s making money. Michael is set to return to the BBC with a new comedy special – the award-winning comedian will record a new comedy stand-up that will air on BBC One and BBC iPlayer later this year.

Titled Michael McIntyre’s 25th Year Stand-up Special, the programme will celebrate McIntyre's anniversary and comedy career to date through a special filming of his new sold-out Macnificent show that's currently touring.

According to Celebrity Net Worth, the comedian is worth a cool £80 million, and he’s celebrated his wealth by splashing out on luxury homes. In 2020, The Mirror reported that Michael purchased his second lavish property in Hampstead, London, which set him back a cool £10 million.

The eight-bedroom mansion boasts a swimming pool in the basement, as well as an ultra-modern cinema room. And there is plenty of opportunity for him to unwind after work, as the home is reportedly kitted out with a gym and spa.

The Royal Variety Show star already owned a home in Wiltshire with his wife Kitty but decided they wanted a more private property after he was mugged outside his sons' school in 2018. A source told The Sun: “Michael and Kitty wanted a fresh start. The new home is pretty secluded, and the family are making extensive changes.” The BBC comedy star is raking in the cash from his current tour, Macnificent.

But it was taking his stand-up show to streaming giant Netflix that’s reportedly made him the most. The Mirror reported that his deal was worth millions, with the TV giant giving the 48 year old an offer he couldn’t refuse. A source revealed at the time: “Netflix believes that Michael’s shock move will mark a huge demand for British comedy in their division this year.” And of course, he's also known for stellar appearances on the likes of The Apollo and Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow.

Meanwhile in his private life, Michael recently revealed that he used some his cash to try and change his appearance. The star said he’d lost more than two stone at a £4,000-per-week weight loss clinic after a search engine suggested his name when he searched for an 'overweight male comedian'.

“I went to this place called the Mayr Clinic and lost quite a bit of weight, which I kept off for a little while,” he told The Sun. "It was a week of pain and they did all these tests on me, put little probes on the end of my tongue and told me I shouldn't eat apples.” However, the funny man joked that he now has a "real fear of apples" and has actually put the weight back on again.
