Wedding guest shames vegan who brought her own food to the reception
As any vegan will attest, finding food options at weddings can be a little tricky.
One wedding goer thought she had the answer; she’d simply bring her own. It didn’t go unnoticed, though, and one woman took to the That’s It I’m Wedding Shaming Facebook group to vent about the “rude” guest.
The vegan guest took her own food options to the hen party, the rehearsal dinner and then the reception.
She even carried the food around in a Tupperware, which one eagle-eyed guest managed to snap on her phone.

The vegan guest was the bride’s roommate at university and although the other guests didn’t know her, they thought “the more the merrier”.
Until she arrived.
The disgruntled guest wrote in the group: “This chick caused problems the whole weekend. She’s vegan, (no shame that’s cool) but because of it she didn’t want to pay the same price for food as everyone because she wasn’t going to eat things like pizza, eggs for breakfast etc. I was cool with that.”
“The whole weekend she moped around in the kitchen cooking her vegan food, in prep for whatever our next meal was that she wouldn’t be participating in and food shaming us the whole time.” She continued.

The hen party organisers had made special food arrangements for the vegan guest but she insisted on bringing her own.
She even took her Tupperware container to a “nice restaurant” on second day of the hen party. She did this even though the organisers had “checked ahead” to make sure there were options available to her.
“Then we went out after and we all had small cross body bags and she carried around this huge Tupperware container at the club all night because she didn’t want to just toss it and spend the money on a new one.” The Facebook user wrote.
“Basically the whole weekend revolved around her being vegan and rude about it and she drove us crazy.”

One commented, “This is so extra. As a Vegan I can confidently say that bringing a protein bar and ordering a plain salad is much better than 5g Tupperware.”
