From Vietnam's Golden Bridge to the Ponte Vecchio: the incredible bridges you have to walk over
Just this month, Vietnam found itself on the receiving end of the world’s awe when it opened the Cau Vang bridge in Da Nang.
The Cau Vang – or ‘Golden Bridge’ – is being lauded for its magnificent design: the bridge is seemingly held by two giant stone hands that emerge from the trees of the forest below.
The architectural wonder stands is expected to boost Vietnam tourism by millions as visitors come from far and wide to experience the mythical walkway.
But Cau Vang isn’t the first bridge to elicit the same reaction.
Take the Zhangjiajie Glass Bridge in China known for its vertigo-inducing glass bottom, the Titlis Cliff Walk in the Swiss Alps which boasts incredible mountain veiws or the stunning and historical Charles Bridge in Prague.
