With the government's four-step roadmap giving us new hope that we could be free to do (and travel) as we please by the end of June, it’s time to start considering your summer holiday.
While most of us will likely flock to the nearest beach at the first hint of heat, if you’re not too keen on rubbing shoulders with others just yet, why not consider renting an abode with a private pool instead?
You’ll need to be quick, however, as up to 90% of UK summer holiday options have “sold out”, the Telegraph reports. This figure comes from self-catering property agency, Unique Homestays, who said 92% of its dates have been booked for summer.

Pentre Court in Abergavenny, Wales

Ideal for a pre-summer getaway once self-catering accommodation opens up, The Rectory Hotel will be renting out its luxury three bedroom cottage. From mid-April to mid-May, guests will have exclusive use of the hotel’s pool and the hotel’s famous Negroni’s and Last Word cocktails will be in the fridge on arrival.
