These are the top trending UK staycation destinations for 2021, according to Airbnb
While international travel is looking less and less appealing this year (thanks to the government’s new traffic light system and mandatory testing) staycations seem to be the way forward for holiday hopefuls.
With overnight stays at self-contained accommodation now allowed in England, sunnier spots like Cornwall and Devon are natural choices.
But people are increasingly looking to less well-known destinations. Airbnb has released its top 10 trending staycation destinations for 2021 - and a small Pembrokeshire town has taken the top spot.

Saint Clears in Wales has seen the biggest jump in popularity this year, according to Airbnb’s data. The historic Welsh town sits on the River Taf and has seen the most increase in searches this summer.
Other searched-for destinations include the Forest of Dean in Gloucestershire, Clovelly in Devon, Bosham in Sussex and Primrose Valley in Yorkshire.

“Our trending destinations show that travel this year is likely to be a little different, with many using a summer closer to home to explore lesser-known rural destinations in addition to the well-loved favourites," Amanda Cupples, general manager, Northern Europe at Airbnb, said in a statement.
