This is what happened when a man told a woman to stop applying make-up on the tube
Female solidarity is a great thing. Female solidarity in the presence of a self-righteous man is even better.
On New Year’s Eve, one woman was happily putting on a bit of make-up on the tube. Nothing wrong with that. A fellow male passenger decided this was unacceptable and proceeded to tell the woman to stop as “it’s vulgar.”
Instead of doing as the man said, every woman in the carriage began to fix their make-up. One of the female passengers tweeted about the incident; a tweet which has since been retweeted over 1000 times.
Bloke has just told the woman he’s with not to put makeup on on the Tube. Every other woman in the carriage is now fixing their makeup.

Many replies (from men too) agreed with the women, stating that “putting on make-up [doesn’t] impact anyone’s life.”
@rosamundi I get the invasive music & loud phone call gripes but how does putting make up impact on anyones life?

@rosamundi a strange man on the bus once told me “putting make up on in public is very unbecoming of a lady”

Other women began to share stories of similar occasions with one saying how a man told her doing her make-up on public transport “was unbecoming of a lady.”
Seems like these men need a lesson in what it’s really like to be a woman.
