This adorable ‘Harry Potter’-themed photo shoot is going viral
Oregon couple Katherine and Jesse Oldfield are huge “Harry Potter” fans.
They spent their first Halloween together dressed as Harry and Hermione – and when their first son, Sebastian, was eight months old, they set up a Harry Potter themed photo shoot in a graveyard (yup, graveyard) complete with a broomstick, a chest and all seven books.
So when their second son, Theodore, came along, they knew he had to have another magical photo shoot for him.
Inspired by a picture of a screeching mandrake, Katherine knew it’d be the perfect fit. They decided to capture Theodore crying as Jesse lifted the him out of a pot, much like a mandrake would in the book.
“I knew it was key that Theodore be crying for the shot,” photographer Kelsey Clouse told Buzzfeed. “Luckily, babies tend to do that.”
The only problem — Theodore appeared to be rather content sitting in his flower pot, even drifting off to sleep in his father’s hands.
After a few snaps of snoozing Theodore and a few of Sebastian dressed like Harry Potter with glasses, cloak and “soundproof” earmuffs, Kelsey put the two brothers together and the magic happened. Theodore started to cry.
Since posting it on her Facebook page, Kelsey has received more than 54,000 likes and nearly 90,000 shares with commenters and other Harry Potter fans calling it “quite possibly the best newborn photo ever.”
We have to agree. All the points to Gryffindor!
