'They don't make it easy': Meghan Markle on the struggles of royal life
It’s been a whirlwind two years for Meghan Markle, who was thrust into the A-list spotlight, married Prince Harry and gave birth to their adorable baby son, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor.
And now, it seems the Duchess of Sussex is feeling the strain of public life, as she was overheard telling singer Pharrell Williams at the Lion King premiere in London that “they don’t make it easy”.
Pharrell shook hands with the former Suits star and her husband as they met with the cast of the Disney remake on Sunday night.

"So happy for your union. Love is amazing. It's wonderful,” Pharrell said to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
"Don't ever take that for granted but what it means in today's climate, I just wanted to tell you it's so significant for so many of us. Seriously. We cheer you guys on."
Meghan looked humbled by Pharrell’s words and replied by saying: "Thank you, they don't make it easy."

Meghan’s life in the royal family
While it’s not known exactly what Meghan was referring to, it’s no secret that life in The Firm hasn’t exactly been smooth sailing for the American-born duchess.
Her royal life has been plagued by protocol breaches, awkward moments and a plethora of rumours.
One of which is of course the alleged ‘feud’ between the Sussexes and the Cambridges, which has been making headlines since last year.
There were also rumours before their May 19 wedding last year that Meghan had put Prince Harry on a pre-wedding diet and that the former actress was said to have ‘completely changed’ her future husband’s exercise routine by introducing him to yoga.
And who could forget Meghan’s controversial family, including her sister-in-law Samantha Markle and her dad, Thomas Markle, who have been giving interviews to anyone who’ll listen since the royal couple announced their engagement in 2018.
More recently, the Duchess of Sussex was slammed for how many times she cradled her baby bump during her pregnancy and reportedly called ‘Duchess Difficult’ by palace staff for sending emails to aides at 5AM.
Looking at all the above, you couldn’t blame Meghan for finding royal life a bit rough.
