The £6 rosé you need this bank holiday weekend
When it comes to a summer drink of choice, our loyalties usually flit between a delicious glass of prosecco or some thirst-quenching white wine (or red, dependent on your personality).
Not this time.
Our heads have been turned by Marks & Spencer’s £6 La Dame en Rose, and we couldn’t be happier about it.
The store’s rosé has overtaken our beloved prosecco in the battle of the best summer drinks, according to M&S figures.

Perhaps this is set to be the trend of the summer. M&S has revealed that rosé sales are up by 20% compared to last May.
It’s priced at £6 and is apparently excellent when paired with BBQs and cheese, aka our top two favourite things.
If you needed an excuse to whip out the BBQ this bank holiday, then this is surely it?
La Dame en Rose has been exclusively blended by M&S Rosé expert winemaker, Belinda Kleinig.

It’s described as “a soft, sumptuous Provence style wine”. It also has delicate flavours of fresh red fruits and white blossoms.
Is anybody else drooling?
Whatever your plans are this weekend, I can say with a level of certainty that this Rosé should be involved.
