How to tell if you've found the £10,000 white Cadbury's Creme Egg
The great Cadbury’s Creme Egg competition is back for another round this Easter with a £10,000 prize for the lucky person who manages to track down a white chocolate version.
But thanks to some eagle-eyed fans, there’s a surprising way to hunt down the sought-after egg without having to eat your way through the shelves.

All you have to do is check the nutritional information on the wrapper, as it’s a legal requirement to list all ingredients on a food or drink product in the UK.
Yes, it really is that simple.
On regular Creme Eggs, the words “milk chocolate” come first in the ingredients run-down followed by “milk solids, vegetable fats and cocoa butter”.
Whereas a white egg should list “white chocolate” instead.

In fact, Cadbury’s almost gave the game away as the company announced: “All white Cadbury Creme Eggs, while wrapped in the same iconic packaging as the classic Creme Egg, will contain nutritional information that is specific to the white chocolate variant.”
Last year, Cadbury’s released just 371 white chocolate Creme Eggs across the country with a top prize worth £2,000 – although nobody ever found it.
This year, the chocolate giant has upped the stakes by dishing out a grand total of 783 white chocolate eggs to supermarkets including Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Morrisons and Asda.

There are eight white Creme Eggs worth £10,000 up for grabs with other cash prizes of £50, £100 and £1,000 also on offer.
If you hit the jackpot, you’ll need to call the phone number printed on the voucher inside the chocolate’s foil wrapping. The competition ends on April 21, 2019.
