Tell Me The Most Effective Parenting Or Housekeeping Hack You Ever Learned From Your Parents

Recently, I wrote an article where teachers shared all the things that boomer parents "did right" that millennials have kind of forgotten about, and it was actually pretty positive!

Even as adults, the urge to call mom or dad for advice is often present, whether you're dealing with managing life in your own apartment for the first time or dealing with the antics of your own child. So, I thought it'd be nice to ask: what are some of the most effective parenting or housekeeping hacks you've ever learned from your parents?

Maybe your mom gave you the tip to wipe down the shower every time you use it, or taught you to always clean up scraps as you're cooking, so that when you're finished, the kitchen is already clean. Tell us those tips!

Maybe you were raised in a household where you never wear shoes in the house, so your floors are always super clean. Some people were not so lucky!

Perhaps you got some great parenting advice from your own mom and dad; making a habit of reading out loud to your kids, for example, or knowing when to pick your battles. Tell us all about it in the comments!
