Viral video shows a grandfather's heartwarming reaction to his granddaughter's visits

An incredibly sweet video of a grandfather greeting his granddaughter has gone viral. Student Jennifer Barclay took to Twitter to share the compilation of her 87-year-old grandad’s reaction every time she stops by his house.

Even if it has only been a few days since they’ve seen each other, Jennifer’s grandfather, Robert, is always delighted to see her – and it’s heartwarming to watch.

Since posting the video a few days ago, it has received more than 119K retweets, 618K likes and earned her grandad a legion of fans across the globe.

Jennifer describes her grandfather, Robert, who lives in the coastal town of Methil in Scotland, as her “number one guy” and “the greatest man ever” and judging by the way he greets his guests, she may just be right.

But it wasn’t just his hosting skills that Twitter users were praising, as many couldn’t help but notice the 87-year-old was also a pretty natty dresser and had a seemingly never-ending collection of sharp jumpers.

Following the overwhelming reaction from social media to her stylish and utterly adorable grandad, Jennifer decided to create an Instagram page devoted to him and the senior style icon has already clocked up over 2K followers.

“We are all very touched by the incredible response and I’m glad by posting the video I’ve been able to spread the love, especially at this time of year,” she wrote.
