This surprisingly simple nail file hack is guaranteed to blow your mind

One Twitter user has gone viral after sharing a surprisingly simple beauty hack that has (we hate to admit it) completely changed life as we know it.

Not to sound too dramatic, but did you know that there’s a whole other layer beneath your favourite nail file?

One social media user who goes by the name HalfLuo, tweeted a photograph of a peeled-back emery board alongside the caption: “How old were you ladies when you learnt that you can peel the old layers off to reveal a new one?”

The post soon went viral amassing over 5,000 comments within a mere matter of hours, as fellow Twitter users wasted no time in expressing their disbelief.

One simply replied to the post: “Exactly right now old”.

While another couldn’t help but reflect on the amount of money spent on countless nail files in years gone by, as they wrote: “Just thinking of all the ones I’ve thrown away”.

But it turns out not all nail files are built to last, as one Twitter user took to the digital platform to share an image of their now-broken emery boards.
