Summer sex – everything you need to know about getting it on in the heat
As the summer weather heats up, it could be time to get the temperature rising in the bedroom as well.
And sexpert Cecile Gasnault says summer is the perfect time to spice things up, reconnect romantically and enjoy a natural boost in your sex drive.
"Remember that stress is the number libido-killer," she explains. "If you are lucky enough to travel, the change of rhythm and scenery can be a natural libido-booster. More rested and more relaxed, you might find your sex drive blooming. Connecting with this feeling will lay a great foundation to spice things up with your partner."

Travelling somewhere new together and sharing that experience for the first time can give your relationship a boost, says Gasnault, brand director of sex toy company Smile Makers.
"A trip to a new place is an adventure and a great opportunity to see your partner outside of your usual roles and dynamics," she says. "It’s a blank canvas and you can paint a very sensual picture on it!
"Try new things together: taking sensual photos together for an intimate photo album of your summer, trying out new stimulations or a new sex toy together."

And instead of lying on the beach with your head in a book or earphones in listening to music, take this chill time to talk, she advises.
"A key to a great sex life with a partner is communication," says Gasnault. "But this can feel intimidating and in the rush of everyday life, a luxury we simply don’t have the time for.
"But as you get to slow down, it can become more comfortable or even natural to talk about your wants and needs in your relationship, including your sex life."

Summer holidays are a great time to experiment."There are some card games ready to buy on the market but you could also do you own where you both write 10 questions on 10 pieces of paper, mix them up and go through all of them together," she suggests. You can also list body parts and make it a game to explore each other’s erogenous zones."
And while it might be tempting to kick-back and enjoy a few cocktails together in the sunshine to loosen those inhibitions, remember to stay safe.
Sex can be strenuous and hotter weather makes it even more important to stay hydrated whilst having fun in the sun.
