Stacey Solomon praised for 'raw and real' post-birth post complete with blood stains
Stacey Solomon is winning praise on social media for sharing a natural post-birth image of her holding her new baby, complete with a blood stained night shirt and towels.
The TV presenter’s partner Joe Swash took to Instagram to announce the early arrival of their first baby together.
The couple welcomed their little one early, at only eight months, on the morning of the 23rd May.
Sharing the happy news, a photo of Stacey and the baby was posted to both their Instagram accounts, showing the ‘Loose Woman’ star resting after giving birth, with the newborn snuggling on her chest.

As well as taking to the comments to congratulate the couple on their new arrival, fans have also been praising Stacey and Joe for sharing such a realistic portrayal of birth and labour.
While there is blood on the baby’s towel, it can also be seen on the baby’s head and Stacey’s night gown.
“So raw and real. Powerful is so the right word to describe this, this picture has given me goosebumps, amazing,” one user commented.
“Don’t get much more real than this does it. Perfect,” agreed another.
“This is what a new Mum looks like, so so so amazing,” yet another fan wrote.
Many fans were keen to praise the new mum on sharing a warts-and-all-image of childbirth.
“Love how this picture is so real, how labour really looks,” one user wrote.
“Most natural amazing picture ever,” another agreed. “Thank you for showing us celebrities are normal! She still looks amazing congratulations to you all.”

As Stacey was no doubt recovering from the birth, the job of announcing the birth of their son or daughter (the couple have not yet revealed the sex) fell to Joe.
“This morning. A lot earlier than planned I watched the love of my life, bring a new life into the world.
“We are overwhelmed, overjoyed and apprehensive of what’s to come. Mummy and baby are well and resting. We are so grateful for all of the love, support and positivity we’ve received over the last 8 months.
“I’m lost for words to describe how I’m feeling. So for now, I’m going to spend the next few days and the rest of my life falling more in love with these two humans.
He then added: “I didn’t think it possible but, today I witnessed the impossible. My partner, My love, my life, you are a super human. I am forever in awe. Joe X.”
Stacey isn’t the only star who has been praised for depicting a realistic portrayal of new motherhood.
Earlier this month the Duke and Duchess of Sussex debuted their newborn son, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor, and Meghan was applauded online for highlighting her post-baby bump with social media users crediting her ‘body-positive message’.
