The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge met a very excited pair of six-year-old twin boys during their visit to Leicester on Wednesday.

Mum-of-three Kate was introduced to Sai and Taran Gotani at the University of Leicester to learn about projects supported by the late football club owner, Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha.

According to The Daily Mail, when asked by the Duchess what they liked doing and whether they liked football, Sai responded with: “I like headbutting,” before proceeding to give her a demonstration with his brother.

Sai even insisted on a cheeky kiss as the royal couple departed and Kate happily obliged.

“They are very excited to see you!” said their mother Kal, 43.

She tried to conceal her embarrassment when one of her sons informed William: ‘My pants are showing,’ but praised the pair for taking it all in their stride.

“They are shouting ‘Kate! Kate!’” Kal said.

“But she [Kate] said: ‘It’s absolutely fine. Don’t do anything. Let them be. I’m used to it.’ Oh my God! She is amazing with them.

“Sai was shouting, ‘Kate, how is Charlotte?’. And Taran has got a thing with numbers. He was saying, ‘How old are you, Kate? When is your birthday?’ I’m sweating, literally.”

Earlier in the day, the Duke and Duchess visited the tribute site at the King Power Stadium to pay their respects to Mr Vichai and four others who lost their lives in the helicopter crash on October 27.

Kate laid a bouquet of flowers and she and William met with club manager Claude Puel and players Kasper Schmeichel, Jamie Vardy and Harry Maguire.

During a walkabout in the East Midlands city, Kate was also asked about her three children and whether she was excited about the impending arrival of Harry and Meghan’s baby.

“Yes, absolutely, no it’s such a special time to have all kiddies,” Kate replied, according to the Daily Mail.

“And a cousin for George and Charlotte as well, and Louis.

“So it will be really special.”

Being the doting mother she is, Kate reportedly also gushed about the “big boy” seven-month-old Louis was becoming.

Following the news that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are moving from Kensington Palace to Frogmore Cottage in Windsor, there have been reports of ‘tensions’ between them and William and Kate.

However, Kate appeared to subtly brush off any rumours of a ‘feud’ with her response to the member of the public’s question.
