Dad receives influx of date offers after taking fashion advice from daughter
Whether it’s a candlelit dinner for two or a casual drink at the local, we’ve all struggled when it comes to deciding what to wear on a first date.
But when single father Jeff Saville sought fashion advice from his teenage daughter, the Internet set alight - with a number of women asking him out on a date.
The 56-year-old from Texas has been single for three years and when he planned a recent romantic get-together, he asked his 19-year-old daughter Carli for help.
“I was trying to pick a shirt and couldn't decide which one to go for,” he told the BBC. “Carli is pretty good with fashion so I texted her. But she asked me to send her a selfie.”
Yet despite finding the perfect ensemble, Jeff went to the restaurant only to find that his date had stood him up.

“My date finally replied to my texts and calls saying she was sorry, and that she just wanted to be my friend,” the father-of-four explained. “Obviously, I was disappointed. Dating is hard but we all face rejection in our lives and you have to just carry on and hope the right person will be brought into your life.”
However, all is not lost, as his daughter shared Jeff’s selfies on Twitter alongside the caption: “Life with a single dad, asking for advice on date outfits”.
