Winter is my worst nightmare when it comes to maintaining soft gorgeous skin. I always find the most problematic bits are my hands and face! No matter how much creme and moisturiser I use, the dry skin never seems to go away.

The trick here is to make sure you are exfoliating, even more so during the winter months. It?s super important to realise that all the dry skin is actually dead and no amount of moisturising will get rid of it! Exfoliating your face is also a proven way to get rid of the dirt that block pores and causes spots, so that can?t be bad surely?

There are some really great high street and online brands that make great scrubs and they all normally smell so delicious too. Have a pamper night and get your scrub on. Here are some of my favourite tried and tested scrubs.?

Let?s start of with facial scrubs. Please do not try to use a harsh body scrub on your face as your facial skin is way more sensitive than the rest of your body and this will only leave you feeling sore and wishing you had invested in a face scrub!?

The facial scrubs available are normally the creamy kind, again to minimise damage to your beautiful complexion! There is so much variety around so you can have your pick from super strength ingredients to all natural. Other benefits are that you can sometimes find scrubs that also help with your other skin problems like, spots and oily areas - bonus!

I just love body scrubs!?

I much prefer a body scrub as it always makes me feel like i?m in a spa. The best are the sugar scrubs as they really work to get rid of the dry skin. Just make sure you go for an oil based sugar scrub as this will stop any cuts and sores in the process.?

If you feel like this is too harsh for you, then try a nice smelling cream scrub and you will get the added moisture benefits that go with it. The oil based scrubs give a great after feeling too so you’re spoilt for choice really! Soft legs all round me thinks!?

Whatever you do make sure you moisturise afterwards to keep your skin feeling softer for longer. It?s a good idea to exfoliate at least once a week for your body and twice a week for your face!
