How to get a free letter from Father Christmas for your children through Royal Mail
Royal Mail’s bringing back its popular Father Christmas letter scheme this year, helping children deliver their festive wish-lists to Santa.
But that’s not all. The free Write To Santa scheme will also will provide the majority of young participants with a response from the big man himself.
There’s only one catch: you must ensure your children stick to the deadline and sends their letter by 6 December.

While it is not known what the letter’s contents will look like, Twitter user Anna shared a letter her little brother received from ‘Father Christmas’ last year.
my little brother was unsure whether to believe if Santa was real or not as his friends had been saying things at school. In the letter, “Santa” writes: “It’s such a busy time up here in the North Pole”, and details the going ons in his factory, involves the “elves” and “polar bears”.
Later down in the letter, he adds, “Don’t forget to leave a carrot out for Rudolph and a mince pie for me,” before signing off with festive wishes from Santa Claus and all his reindeers, including Dasher, Dancer and Vixen.

The Royal Mail Write to Santa website details how to get involved.
“Dear boys and girls, Christmas is a very exciting but busy time for me: the elves are making toys, the reindeer are practising their sleigh runs, and I'm busy preparing my list of who's been good this year,” reads a letter from “Santa” on the website.
It advises that letters should be sent by Friday 6 December.
Although the page provides no guarantee that everyone will get a response, “Santa” writes: “I will try to reply to as many of you as possible”.
